The Administrative Assistant provides assistance and support to the District Superintendent, Administrative Team
and Board of Trustees to assure the effective and efficient operation of the District. The Administrative Assistant is
responsible for the processing and maintenance of confidential and non-confidential correspondence of the
District Superintendent and Board of Trustees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Minimum of a two-year degree or four years of experience performing, at a high level, the duties and
responsibilities associated with this position. Must possess strong communication, organizational, problem
solving, and computer application skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS including, but not limited to:
1. Serve as administrative assistant for District Superintendent.
2. Serve as office manager for the District Office.
3. Maintain a positive attitude and style that contributes to the overall public relations of the district.
4. Prepare letters and documents for the District Superintendent and maintain a schedule of appointments
and conferences.
5. Maintain filing system for District correspondence and records.
6. Compile statistics and gather data as needed, including such things as researching historical Board actions
or conducting and completing surveys/questionnaires.
7. Prepare and post agendas. Attend Board meetings and record minutes.
8. Prepare final regular meetings minutes for publication and official records.
9. Handle all aspects of the Board election including notices, ordering materials, etc.
10. Update board policy book with new or revised policies and maintain board policies online.
11. Develops and prepares Board, management, classified and certificated yearly calendars.
12. Responsibilities for the coordination and completion of CBEDS Report.
13. Assists with input of staff for CalPads Report.
14. Prepares District Directory of Personnel.
15. Establishes and maintains confidential files relating to district expulsions and grievances and records
minutes related to the Board’s decisions regarding expulsions and grievances.
16. Schedules evaluations for administrative staff.
17. Prepare and assist with processing of administrative payroll.
18. Perform other duties as directed by the District Superintendent.

Salary:
$57,073 - $60,550 (Depends on experience/negotiable)
